How to delete your data:

Instant Deletion: Go to Settings > Clear All Data within the app. This immediately removes all locally stored masjid favorites, preferences, and notification settings.
Manual Request: To request a full purge of any data associated with your device ID, please email our support team with the subject "Data Deletion Request".

Sajdah Spot ("we," "us," or "our") is a specialized utility for the Muslim community. We are committed to a Gold Standard of privacy, ensuring your spiritual journey and location data remain protected with bank-grade integrity.

1. Location Data & Security

To provide accurate masjid proximity and prayer timings, Sajdah Spot requests access to your device location.

Local Processing: Your precise location is processed on-device. We do not transmit your live coordinates to our servers.
No Tracking: We do not build movement profiles, sell your location history, or share coordinates with third parties.

2. Background Access

Sajdah Spot may request background location access strictly to enable Athan notifications and location-based reminders when you are near a masjid, even when the app is closed or minimized.

3. Data Collection Summary

We follow "Data Minimization" principles. We only collect what is strictly necessary:

Preferences: Favorite masjids or notification settings (stored locally on your device).
No Personal Info: We do not require names, phone numbers, or account creation for core utility features.

4. Third-Party Links & External Services

Sajdah Spot provides links to external platforms for community engagement:

Media & Social: Links to YouTube or WhatsApp redirect you to their official apps/sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.
Charitable Donations: Any links to masjid donation pages (e.g., JustGiving, PayPal) are provided for convenience. Sajdah Spot does not collect, process, or receive any portion of these funds. Transactions occur entirely on the third-party platform.

5. Affiliation Disclaimer

Sajdah Spot is an independent platform. Unless explicitly stated, we are not officially affiliated with the external masjids or organizations linked within the app. Links are provided as a community service for Dawah and learning.

6. Your Rights

You own your data. Because we prioritize local storage, you can wipe all app data simply by clearing the app cache or uninstalling the app from your device.
